Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic
Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic is Wake County’s oldest orthopaedic practice. It was originally founded by Dr. Hugh Thompson, Dr. Walter Hunt, and Dr. Thomas Dameron who first opened a general surgery practice in 1919 specializing in Orthopaedics, which in 1959 they named Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic (ROC).
The practice today boasts 21 board-certified orthopaedic surgeons with advanced training in orthopaedic sub-specialties such as foot and ankle surgery, hand, wrist and elbow surgery, spine surgery, hip surgery, shoulder surgery, total joint replacement, and sports medicine. ROC also has a physiatrist, podiatrist and sports medicine specialist well-trained in conservative methods of treatment as well as 22 physician assistants and nurse practitioners who provide unique care and support. There are several clinics present in convenient locations in Raleigh, Cary, Garner, and North Raleigh each offering on-site services such as MRI, X-ray, physical therapy, casts, braces, splints, and orthotics, pedorthotics and prosthetics.
Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic has been a leading provider of orthopaedic care for central and eastern North Carolina for many years now. Its highly-committed staff ensure that you receive top-quality care for your orthopaedic as well as other healthcare needs. We conduct surveys on a regular basis to continually evaluate our procedures and outcomes to provide the best treatment options for our patients. In 1988, we founded the Thomas B. Dameron, Jr. Orthopaedic Education Foundation to support orthopaedic education.
